* Perhaps disclosing my personal goals will in some ways make me more accountable for the things I'd like to pursue and accomplish in my time in Botswana
In terms of my "work" and projects in my community:
- Learning more about acquiring funds for NGOs and the like through grant writing
- Organize, fund and execute a GLOW Camp
- Painting a mural in the village with children, perhaps a world map
- Getting girls to play and enjoy soccer
Personal development on my own time:
- Getting up the nerve to run regularly in my village
- Crocheting (thanks to Ashley B for the starter kit)
- Working with my watercolors and learning a bit more about the medium (thanks Topher)
- Photoshop and Illustrator literacy/proficiency (thanks to Pam and Lil for the book tutorials)
- Harmonica!!! (thanks Dad)
- Perhaps preparing for the GRE...this one is still undecided.
